Hi. I’m Johannes. Most people call me John. Some people call me Yo-hanz. I’m a developer / artist. My favourite browser is the Firefox Developer Edition. I like to have toys and figures on my desk. And I often listen to epic battle music while coding.

I'm married to the coolest gamer-chick that will blow you out of the sky in GTA, with her mad Xbox controller skills. We also play Borderlands 2 coop and race Forza Motorsport. Besides that we have 2 cute dogs, that will demand walkies every morning and scare the evil postman away.

I grew up playing games on my father’s Amiga 500 and my friends Comadore 64. Just getting the games to run off the floppydrive and run was a bit of a challenge. I quickly got to know the basics of commandline. And with the popularity of the Internet, I started looking at websites and coding HTML around 1996.

Then in 1997 I started playing around with the map editor for Duke Nukem 3D. And with the release of Halife, I started doing maps for the engine using The Forge tool included on the CD (later renamed Valve hammer). In 1999 I received training in 3dsMax and Photoshop at my high-school. And in the following years I was be part of the halflife / counterstrike modding community on mIRC where we made maps, weapons and such. Eventually I also got into modifying the game files written in C++.

In 2000 during the famous dot-com era, I starting a company with 2 friends, doing websites for anyone in the local area. I was the HTML / design guy. And one guy wrote PHP while the other wrote ASP. We started small and eventually ended up building corporation sized websites. Optimized both for Internet explorer and Netscape of course ;)

Since then I’ve been all over the industry. I’ve developed websites for Superbrugsen, Fakta and Kvickly. For some months I was part of the team that Launched TDC play and Yousee Play. I’ve worked in Big Data where I helped build tools for managing the inflow of data at Infomedia, as well as doing optimizations on their search-tools interfaces. I’ve helped develop and release several iOS / Android games. I've done complex high resolution 3d models for TV commercials. And I’ve done loan / interest calculators, electronic payment-systems and a ton of CMS solutions. Oh, and i like to draw doodles during meetings.

I can even brag about being a Photo-model. That’s right… During a photoshoot for an X-mas campaign Santa got sick… So I had to save the day and be stand-ind for him. A move that landed me in stores all across the country that Year. I was literally everywhere!

I’ve also been an instructor at 3D College Denmark. I was the daily coordinator for 120 students, and I myself ran a class for 60 students on a daily basis, with lectures, projects and exercises. The topics ranged from animation, lightning, rigging, game development, MAX-Script, Unity 3d, Unreal Engine, 3dsmax and Zbrush to basic Photoshop, HTML and CSS.

As a frontend developer, I have a ton of experience in cross-browser optimizing websites. IE4, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Safari. You name the bug I’ve seen it and pulled my hair out over it. Responsive design coded from the bottom up. Check. Confined and constrained by Boostrap framework spec requirements. Check. Writing responsive code for many different types of phones and tablets. Check. Re-factored spaghetti-code. Check.

These days I like to work with React, D3, Vue and Angular, when I’m not re-factoring 7 year old code and cursing at RequireJS. I’m good at creating a bridge between designers from Venus and backenders from Mars. I’ve got a broad background, having worked with both PHP, C# and Java backends. Also I've just completed a certification with SAP Hybris.

If you want to talk to me for some reason other than my distant relative that left me a ton of Nigerian gold in a South African bank, drop me a line : admin at sharkmeat dot dk

Casper Helenius
Java Developer at Top-Toy

I have the utmost pleasure of working with Johannes at Top-Toy A/S. Johannes is a very thorough developer, with an unprecedented insight into the art of frontend development, both from a users as well as a developes point of view.

Johannes gives challenges a good round of thinking before he tackles them, granting Johannes a quite decent advantage when running for the goal line. Johannes is friendly and positive-minded, with a can-do attitude.

All of this makes Johannes a colleague I regard highly from a professional view, and dearly from a personal. I can only give Johannes my warmest recommendations. Johannes is good guy and super professional in one package!

Maurizio Piccini
Senior Developer at Infomedia

Johannes is much higher in the stack as a front-end developer and therefore very good in the graphic designing part of the process.

He always surprised me how user friendly and well done his designs were. He is also quite attentive and knowleadgeable on all the different compatibility issues on browsers and browser versions.

And he sucks in playing board-football !

Kris Lux
Web Developer at Republica

Johannes is a very meticulous front-end developer who does not cut corners in implementing a design. He's especially talented with animations and out-of-the-box thinking solutions to uncommon styling problems, as well as all things 3D. A vivid imagination and the skills to make it reality. Great co-worker

Christian Nørgaard Hansen
Web Developer at Subsero

Johannes is a very hard-working developer. Always trying to improve his own and colleagues workflow and solve problems with a positive attitude. I was amazed by his knowledge in HTML and CSS. Johannes earlier experience as a teacher really shines when he tries to explain difficulties about a project or solving a technical problem. Stand up guy in general, highly recommendable!

Bo Daugaard
Indie Game Developer at Zaxis Games

I had the pleasure of work with Johannes on Angry Viking for iPhone. Johannes was the main artist on in game assets, and GUI. We got quality assets every time on time! His lowpoly skills, as well as texturing skills are amazing, he knows his way around optimizing like on one else. He’s a good guy and I recommend him to anyone how need a reliable artist.

Thomas Fenger
Digital Designer at Unity Studios

I have enjoyed working with Johannes as a teacher at 3d College Denmark. He is a skilled and hardworking cg artist, who’s love for 3d and relentless pursuit of perfection is inspiring. He produces complex yet flawless 3d models at lightning speed.

At 3d College we arranged several one hour speed modeling challenges to each other to show the students how to handle various modeling tasks of increasing complexity. Johannes unfazed methodical approach no matter what you throw at him has been an invaluable lesson for the students as well as for me.

Johannes is a very helpful and pleasant person to be around. He is respectful of his colleagues and he takes his students serious. His technical skill, dedication and responsible nature makes him a valuable asset to any company.

Jacob Honore
Owner at Zaxis Games

Johannes is dedicated and always hardworking both as an instructor and in a production enviroment.

The speed in which he creates 3d and textures, especially lowpoly for games is second to none.

I have rarely meet a person who is both an excellent 3d atist and a brilliant frontend webdevelopper always meeting his deadlines without a hitch.

The quality level of all his work, regardless of circumstances or level of difficulty is always stellar, cutting edge, and industry leading.

And if all the above wasn't enough, he is humble, pleasant to work with, and a really fun guy to be around. He truly is an asset for any company that is considering hiring him. Main only real complaint is that he has always beaten the s... out of me no matter what xbox game i picked.

Christian Damm
Sr. Concept Art Director at LEGO

Johannes Museth impressed me from day one. With drive and skill he taught at 3D College Denmark; able to connect with the students and deliver his vast knowledge of 3DS MAX in terms suitable for the 3D artists to be. Johannes' strong technical skills and friendly nature will be an asset for any team. Highly recommendable!
